Folks, we are here dealing with two different religious systems.
In one, the objects, institutions, and patterns of belief and behavior are received from hallowed antiquity, vigorously defended, and reverently transmitted to the next generation.
In the other, anything goes—or at least, for those High Atop the Thing.
