You can bet The Baddies are sweating now.

Now, in runup to the Synod, Texas’ Bishop Strickland preps his flock:
“It may be that some will label as schismatics those who disagree with the changes being proposed [at the Synod on Synodality]. Be assured, however, that no one who remains firmly upon the plumb line of our Catholic faith is a schismatic. … Standing firm does not mean we are seeking to leave the Church. Instead, those who would propose changes to that which cannot be changed seek to commandeer Christ’s Church, and they are indeed the true schismatics.”
Yes indeed, a little innoculation never hurt.
Something is definitely afoot. His Excellency sounds like another Bishop, one may recall:
“It is not us but Rome which is moving toward schism. They are the ones moving toward heresy. I am with 20 centuries of the church and all the saints in heaven.”
Abp. Marcel Lefebvre, 1976
Of course, truth is truth no matter what year it’s proclaimed in. There’s little sense now in wagging the “we told you so” finger, now that Abp. Lefebvre has gone to his eternal reward. Sure, he’s been vindicated a thousand times since then — so what? The living hierarchs must find the courage and zeal to proclaim the True Faith.
Today’s shepherds must reclaim the fold. “Who will go for Us?” (Is 6:8)
Way to go, Bishop Strickland!
…and Bravo the Restoration!
